Morrígan is an Irish Celtic goddess of Slaughter and a character in Irish Celtic mythology, who appears to have been considered a goddess.
In some medieval stories, Morrigan is one of the three goddesses of war, alongside the goddesses Badb and Macha, or sometimes Nemain. In other accounts, the names Morrigan and Badb are used alternately for the Irish goddess of war, or both are described as witches of the Tuatha Dé Danann
